This idea was actually my brother's. We had purchased a very nice but fairly uncomfortable futon when we first moved in. Like many futons of this type, when in "couch mode" the back was too high and too far forward.

By simply putting it in "bed mode" and adding a bunch of pillows, it makes the futon a bunch more comfortable and the room a lot more inviting.

Those big brown pillows are "body pillows" we picked up at Target.
