Anyway, the cornice box over the window is a do-it-yourself kit. It is made of styrofoam and when making it there is no sewing or gluing involved. You simply tuck fabric and maybe welt/cording (of your choice) into the grooves in the styrofoam. The results are fabulous. This photo is of a box I made for my mother-in-law but I've made MANY for clients over the years and many clients have chosen to make the cornice box's themselves. The great thing is that this window treatment is lightweight, easy to hang, easy to do, and isn't permanent . . . you can change out the fabric anytime!

In the photo showing I actually saved a lot of money by buying a discounted tablecloth for use as the top and bottom blue strips and then the center fabric is from a high quality sheet. You'd never know.
