That being said, there is nothing easy, fun or cheap about house painting! lol. at least at the time your doing it. BUT doing it your self can save you SO much money. We actually had a bid come in around 24k to have the exterior stripped, cleaned, primed and painted with the color palate we wanted to use. What ever. It was cheaper to remove the cedar siding and replace it with primed Hardiplank and paint it ourselves.
