About Me
I am a photographer, designer, sailor, home owner and soon to be father as well as a founding member of BonAbode. I have a 1915 Craftsman bungalow with a Prairie style roof. (think shallow pitch with 4 ft overhangs) My wife and I are both quite artistic and absolutely fell in love with the Arts and Crafts style of home once we got through that uber cool ultra modern metro-sexual stage of life.
We began by painting. When we bought the house, everything was painted white, gray, silver and green. I know, right? We painted and painted and painted. Which, i might say is one of the best improvements for the money you can do to a house or room.
And then, my wife wanted to know what was under those 8 layers of paint on the trim... 85yr old Clear Vertical Grain Fir... and so it began.
I know now that it will never end. Your HOME will never be finished. It evolves and grows and changes with you and your family. As it should.
